TPU: A Technical Overview
When designing the Tomoe bag, we chose materials reflecting our commitment to sustainability. One of the key materials is TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), a versatile and 100% recyclable material. This not only ensures superior durability but also supports a more responsible approach toward our environmental impact.
TPU is known for its resilience and resistance, but what truly sets it apart is its recyclability. By using 100% recyclable TPU, we selected a material that not only can be reused but, at the end of its life, can be transformed into new products, thus reducing waste and pollution. Additionally, we opted for a recycled nylon lining, further helping to reduce our environmental impact. Choosing recycled nylon gives new life to existing materials instead of using virgin resources, supporting a more circular production cycle.
Another crucial aspect of the Tomoe bag is its design for disassembly. This feature enables easy access to the various components of the bag, simplifying the recycling process at the end of its life. Once the bag completes its cycle, the materials can be separated and recycled efficiently, contributing to a more sustainable world.
Choosing 100% recyclable TPU and recycled nylon is not just a decision for the present but a step toward a better future. With the Tomoe bag, we aim to show that style and environmental responsibility can coexist, offering a product that’s not only visually appealing but also mindful of the planet. We believe every sustainable choice can make an impact.
